Who is ready for fall? This girl sure is! I am so ready for cooler weather, layered outfits, and fun fall activities. Dressing for fall in Texas can be interesting because it is still fairly hot outside even in October. We definitely have plenty of random cold fronts that I never seem to be prepared for no matter how many times my Mom warns me about them. Maybe this year I will learn… but probably not.

The outfit I am sharing with y’all today was easy for me to wear in the summer, and I could easily wear it in the fall as well by pairing it with a cardigan or denim jacket. I love wearing olive green year round, but in the fall it is an extremely popular color which makes it easy for me to find lighter pieces that can go with my fall outfits. Another option for fall is to add suede to your outfits in ways other than long sleeves or pants. I love a good suede skirt or suede booties! My wedges do not seem like they could transition into fall, but I think they can! They have suede details and would look great with a different top and the same skirt or a nice pair of jeans. The denim skirt I am wearing in this outfit has come in handy many times and I recommend grabbing one for fall too!

Tips on How to Dress for Fall in Hot Weather:

○ Wear fall colors like orange, mustard, green, navy blue, and brown.

○ Find prints and patterns in light fabrics. Check out some of my favorites in last week’s post here.

○ Pair sweaters and other long sleeved tops with shorts and skirts.

○ Find creative ways to incorporate fall fabrics like suede into your outfit. Suede shoes and hats are a great option!

○ Transition summer pieces into fall by using neutral colors and prints. Layer items together to complete your look.

○ Start wearing neutral nail polish colors and put away your bright colors until next spring.

I will be incorporating more fall pieces into my wardrobe from now on and you can see them before they go live on the blog by keeping up with me on Instagram! Also, be sure to check out my last post where I shared my favorite fall trends for this year that are all affordable! You can read it here.
