Hello everyone! What a crazy few weeks it has been omg! Yesterday I spent the time I thought I would be using getting this post up waiting for an oil change. So glamorous right? I rewarded myself with Chick-Fil-A though because I am all about small victories and I had a coupon (yes I use those) so it was a win-win for me. Last week I did not get a post up because I was feeling a little under the weather and this week my post is late because I am feeling a bit like a hot mess but it is fine! Moving on! Fun fact, I actually shot this spring outfit last year when I was right in the middle of being on top of things as a blogger and then this look was supposed to go up after spring break and it never did so I decided to post it anyways so it did not go to waste! Spring has definitely sprung here in Austin and with that comes humidity, rain, and hot weather. I am loving finally being able to wear the spring pieces that I have been collecting in my closet and lighter and brighter colors. There are so many spring trends this year that I am dying to try, and I think next week’s post will be all about the spring items that I would love to purchase. Everything I pick out will be super affordable as always! Definitely let me know if that is something you would like to see, or if there is anything else you would like to see here on the blog. I love getting new ideas from y’all and would love for suggestions or questions from y’all if you have any!

So, for this outfit, I kept it really simple. I purchased my peplum tank at Dillard’s two years ago and wore it on my birthday and have not really worn it since… until this post. I am super excited to wear it again this spring and summer because it is so cute! I love the color scheme and the stripes. I linked a similar one above and below and it is pretty affordable too! My tank also has gorgeous lace detailing which screams spring and summer to me. After posting three blog posts with the same pants I finally changed my pants. Are y’all proud? I have never been a huge fan of light wash jeans, but these are my favorite! I hardly ever wear them because I usually always wear my go-to pair but I see myself wearing these more this spring and summer. I bought the espadrille flats I am wearing two years ago at Macy’s in Austin for $10. Total steal right? And, this was before espadrilles were trending again so I felt pretty cool when they came back a few months later. I wore these shoes NONSTOP last year and I know this year will be no different. I linked some similar and affordable pairs above and below.

What is your favorite trend for spring? You will have to come back next week to find out my favorites!
