Welcome to the latest series on the blog y’all! I’m calling it my monthly “get its and regret its” which I think probably is not the most grammatically correct title, BUT I was trying to be original and did not want to call it my monthly favorites either so we are just going to roll with it! Essentially the point of this series is for me to share with y’all what I loved every month (hence the get it) and what I did not love (hence the regret it). I hope that makes sense! I try my best to be super open and authentic and only share what I truly love with y’all and I’d also like to save y’all the hassle from buying things that I think are not worth your time or money. There might be a product that I share that I did not like that y’all might love and that’s great! There also might be a product that I love and y’all hate and that’s okay too! Everything I share will be my own personal opinion and I will be completely one hundred percent honest. Also apologies in advance for the picture quality. I am still trying to get the hang of using my camera.
For my first ever “get its and regret its” post I am sharing five items that I loved during the month of January and five items that I did not love.
The “Get Its”
Essence Make Me Brow-my favorite brow product that I have ever tried! SERIOUSLY!!! It’s $3! I bought mine at Ulta right before Christmas and have been loving it this month. It has cut down the time it takes me to get ready and it only takes me ten seconds to do my eyebrows. It is supposed to be a dupe for the Benefit Gimme Brow which I have never tried but now I do not need to because I love this product so much! If you’d like to see how I use it let me know!
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in “Sugar Poppy”-I LOVE pink nail polish especially during the warmer months and I have missed wearing it so much! During the winter and fall I like to wear darker colors or white and during the spring and summer, I like variations of pink and white. This color is so pretty and I know I will be wearing it a lot in the coming months!
Seche Vite Topcoat-the BEST top coat that I have found so far is definitely this one from Seche Vite! It drys fast which is great for me because I hate when I do my nails and I wait an hour and think they are dry but then they are still tacky. It’s the WORST. This topcoat also seems to help my nails from chipping and makes my polish last a long time! I definitely recommend it.
Burberry Brit Perfume-this smells heavenly seriously. One of my really good friends wears it and I have always loved it but never purchased it myself. I received a gift set this year for Christmas and it was this scent! I am in LOVE with it! Seriously it smells so good and is not too overpowering. I do not like floral scents I like musky (I hate that word, cringing as I type) scents and some of my favorites include Flower Bomb by Viktor and Rolf, Gucci Guilty, and Si by Georgio Armani. I have so many perfumes it is not even funny because I get them as gifts every year and it is so fun to have a collection so that I can rotate what I wear. This scent is one of my new favorites though and I plan on wearing it a lot.
Nike Juvenate Shoes-I have said this before, but I seriously have an obsession with buying Nike shoes! I cannot help myself when I find a good deal and it is even worse when I find a good Nike deal. I bought these January 1st at the Dillard’s sale for less than $40. Score!!! Anyways these are so light and the grey color goes with almost everything.
Now, time for the “Regret Its”
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea-This product was not necessarily bad, it just does not do enough for me to justify buying it. It smells nice and it is fun to add to my skincare routine but I honestly did not notice any difference in my skin after using it for a month so I do not plan on re-purchasing it.
Milani Glow Bronzer XL in “Fake Tan”-I have honestly had this bronzer for a while but just recently started trying to actually use it and it is not for me. It has two colors but they do not every blend into my skin well and the colors do not really work for me. I have heard this one is really great and I also want to try this one.
e.l.f. HD Powder-I ran out of my beloved Coti Air-Spun powder in December and my roommate happened to have this Elf Powder and she let me use it. I have tried it so many times and I truly do not like it. It makes my skin look AWFUL! Just so awful seriously so I definitely would not recommend it. I have tried other e.l.f. products before and they were great but this one just does not do it for me.
Freeman’s Cucumber Peel-Off Mask-I really love trying out new face masks and this one seemed like a great idea. I have used it at least once a week and see no results at all. My pores look the same as before I put it on each time and it does not seem to remove anything. It is not too expensive though so if you would like to try it, it might work for you!
Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo “Clean Freak”-I love this brand! Their salt spray makes my hair look great and helps my natural waves look really nice. Ulta did not have my usual brand (I have used this one for YEARS) the last time I went so I decided to try this one. This dry shampoo is not for me. I have used it every week and it does not seem to help my hair at all. It does not seem to absorb oil and it claims to add volume but it does not do that either. I will be passing on this one from now on.
I would love to know if y’all use any of these products whether or not I like them. If you have any recommendations for me I would love to hear those too!
Also, I have some really exciting news! I am officially an influencer with rewardStyle and you will now be able to shop all of my Instagram posts with the LIKEtoKNOW.it app! I am seriously so happy and could not have done this without y’all’s support so I really appreciate it!
So, what did y’all think? Do y’all like these kinds of posts? Let me know!
