Hey
Tall Boots
Tall boots are very near and dear to my heart. I have long legs so the taller the boots the better! Leather and suede riding boots have been a huge fall and winter must-have shoe for me for as long as I can remember! I have purchased all of my tall boots from Dillard’s during one of their sales. My mom instilled in me that if I am going to get boots they need to be real leather and I have stuck to that almost always. I usually skip this rule when I am wanting a pair of trendy shoes that I will not need to last more than a season or two. This year, over the knee
Booties
Booties are becoming a new favorite of mine within the past few years. I remember when I got my first pair I had no clue how to style them but now I love them! I have a few pairs but would love to add this pair to my collection. They are so cute and under $40! Some trends in booties this year include cheetah print, studs, and cutouts! I have been searching for the perfect cheetah print pair of booties and fingers crossed I find them soon! Booties are great because they can be worn with so many outfit combinations! I love wearing booties with pants, skirts, and even dresses! I shared some of my favorite booties under $50 in this post from last month too.
Rain Boots
Mentioning rain boots seems silly but you really do need them for fall and winter! Especially if you live in Texas like me where it can be sunny and 75 one day and freezing with snow the next. I finally purchased a pair of Hunter rain boots at the beginning of the year, only because I found them on sale and could not pass them up, and they are amazing! I used to always see people wearing Hunter boots and judge them (sorry I am working on not doing that) because I thought it was literally INSANE to spend $150 on rainboots so I totally get it if you think I am crazy. I did not spend anywhere near that on mine though which is why I can excuse myself for having them. I do not necessarily think you have to have the Hunter brand though, just make sure you have a good pair in your closet!
Mules
I have recently become a fan of mules only after trying on many a pair before finally finding a few pairs that I actually liked and could justify spending money on. The few pairs that I do own I found on “major sale” (loling as I type because I literally HATE when bloggers say something was on major sale when really it is 20% off oops). The pairs I own were under $15 and one pair was even $5 score!!! I know this style of shoe is not for everyone and that is totally fine! Just try a few pairs on and see if you can find a pair that you like. Mules are versatile like booties and can be worn with pants, skirts, and dresses too!
What are your favorite shoes for fall and winter? I would love to know! Do you have a favorite pair or favorite brand? Let me know below!
